Contour Lines Added to Google Maps
Last year Google Maps added a neat little terrain feature and now it just got better with Google announcing that it added contour lines to its maps. You can also see some camping sites and trails on popular camping areas.
This cool addition to terrain maps will allow you to plan your routes better if you go off on a trek or hike.
Contour lines are lines on a map which join up areas of equal elevation, when you see that the lines are close together the area will be steeper and when the lines grow apart more you will get a flatter landscape.
